Uprising Monument # 1

So, I stopped posting on my blog because it was frustrating me because my pictures were not uploading right.  Also, I was doing a lot of youtube video uploads and it is hard to keep up with both.  Well now youtube is frustrating me because it will not upload my videos, so I am coming back to blog updates. I am going to try to keep them short and sweet.

There are multiple monuments to the uprising here in Warsaw and this monument (first is front, 2nd is back) and I wanted to start with this.  I will upload more later. This one on the front talks about those in this certain neighborhood that died in the uprising and on the back you can see impressions of what happened to many people in the Warsaw Ghetto during WWII...they were lined up against a wall to be murdered.  It is sad, but true.

Now in keeping with theme of blog, my hope is for showing this monument and others is that we remember that this city suffered great destruction, loss, and unjustice, but now we can strive for finding peace for the present and hope for the future.  Continue to check back for pictures of other monuments and other inspiring words.

May you remember find peace and hope,

Ben
